I am currently taking Finite Mathematics, or math 1160, this fall and to be honest I'm a little concerned about what this class has in store for me for the semester. I've been hearing rumors from upper class men that this is a tough course having a 40% pass rate which is a little intimidating. So far, it's been a breeze and I'm understanding the concepts more than expected before taking this course. The only thing that is frustrating with this class are the long steps needed to be taken to solve one problem which could take up to 30 minutes. But you have to do what have to do right?
I think this semester is going to be alright for me academically, but I do have concerns for this class like you. I agree that it's been pretty easy so far, but the long time it takes to solve problems makes me resent doing them which isn't good. I'm planning to get some tutoring 3 times a week so yeah.. do what you gotta do.
